The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences offers the MBBS course which is of the duration of 4 years and 6 months as per Academic Calendar of Medical Council of India (MCI), followed by 1 year compulsory rotary internship. The course is under affiliation of the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong. The course generally commences during the month of August of the year. The current annual intake is 50 seats.
