In the midst of the hectic political activity in the run-up to Tuesday's trust vote, Congress president Sonia Gandhi has said that Indo-US nuclear deal is in the best interest of the country at a public meeting in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.This is her first public meeting since the Left withdrew support from UPA government.''There is no question of compromise on nuclear programme, national security and independent foreign policy,'' said Sonia Gandhi, president Congress.''We do not need any certificate from any party or anybody on the issue of patriotism,'' she further said.(With NDTV inputs)
